the most badass tattoo danielle distefano has ever done! for now!

I had the honor to tattoo this back piece on an amazing client, Mike. Not only the coolest man that I wish I was related to, he is the most ideal client. We started this tattoo in either 2006/2007 we finished it within a year. Anyone that has that big of a tattoo knows the kind of commitment that it takes to sit through such a big piece and in such a short amount of time. I have been getting my back done and I am defiantly not as good of a client. This is the biggest tattoo I have done, and intimidating to be able to even come close to the skill of some japanese artists that can draw these on the skin with little thought. I feel really proud of this dragon, there are always things you want to change after looking at a piece for a while, but that is being an artist. I feel real good about the work that I did on Mike, and I know he is more than thrilled with it. I am really bad about taking photos of my work and this tattoo has been out there for over 4 years and never represented the right way, I was so pleased to get a photo and still be extremely happy with the work.
